830 Series windows offer a wide variety of glass options that allow you to achieve superior energy savings, sound dampening, privacy, or design accents for your home. 830 is available with 1-1/2 thick triple pane insulated glass standard, or optional 1-1/4 thick double pane insulated glass and thicker panes offering a range of sound transmission loss values. You may also choose from a rich pallet of translucent glass for privacy or décor.

The insulating value of your windows has a direct impact on how your rooms feel. The better insulated the window glass, and the more light and solar heat it transmits, the warmer your room will be. In winter, LoE-179 reflects heat back into the room and also lets in more light and solar heat gain than many other LoE glass types. It delivers excellent cold weather performance, and brighter views, while also blocking 76% of the sun’s harmful UV rays.

In combination with two lites of clear glass, it is an excellent choice for passive solar heat gain applications. In combination with a darker, solar control Low E glass (like LoE366) in a triple pane window , it delivers significant year round “U” value improvement over conventional double pane windows with a single Low E glass, while still allowing high levels of visible light to pass through.

Use the sun's UV rays to loosen dirt so water can rinse it away. Your windows will stay cleaner longer and will clean easier. The titanium dioxide layer on Neat glass reacts chemically with the sun’s UV rays causing organic materials on the glass to decompose. When it rains, dirt easily washes away. A thin layer of silicon dioxide makes Neat glass exceptionally smooth and hydrophilic. This allows water to disperse evenly or “sheet off” and evaporate quickly, greatly reducing water spotting.

Preserve™ -is a translucent protective film, protects and keeps your windows clean and scratch free during installation, saving time and money on clean up. Preserve peels off in strips, taking dirt, excess paint, plaster and labels with it. Preserve is now standard on Mercer Windows!
