A long time member of the nations energy performance rating organization, Mercer regularly submits all of its window offerings for testing and rating. These numbers are utilized by energy programs such as U.S. DOE’s ENERGY STAR Window Program, as well as building codes throughout the country.


Mercer Windows
was an early partner when the U.S. DOE announced the formation of the ENERGY STAR Window Program. The program requires NFRC tested performance ratings and meeting multiple climate zones.

AAMA provides performance standards and third party verification programs for the fenestration industry. As their voice, AAMA looks at air, water and structural performance of window systems. Mercer Windows has been an active member of AAMA for over forty-five years.

These four metrics listed, define window energy performance. These metrics are measured and rated over the entire window assembly,
not just the center of glass, by the NFRC.
